Our GCSE group tuition classes are live, online, weekly sessions where one teacher works with a small, focused group of up to 8 students to provide targeted academic support in a particular subject. It acts as a cost-effective, interactive alternative to 1:1 tutoring, allowing for peer learning, enhanced social skills, and tailored instruction.

Each lesson costs £22.50 + VAT
Depending when you start your sessions, you will be charged via monthly instalments until May Half Term (for Year 11s) or mid-July (for Year 10s), and your instalment amount will be calculated to ensure that you pay only £22.50 + VAT per lesson until the end of the series. *Our monthly instalment system is designed to ensure that your overall tuition cost is spread out so that your monthly charge is as affordable as possible. Please be aware that if you book a class towards the end of a calendar month, as instalments are changed on the 1st of each month, you may find yourself paying your first two instalments close together. However, the sooner you start paying for your class, the smaller your monthly charge will be.

For one-to-one tuition, our tutors set their own rates. As a guideline, tuition starts from £65 per hour. For an exact quote, let us know what you need and we'll call you with pricing.

After you finish registering and pay your first instalment, you'll receive an email with:

• Dates for future monthly payments
• The date of your child's first lesson

Your monthly payment will be automatically charged to your card on the 1st of each month until the end of the 25/26 school year. The final payment dates are:

• 1st July 2025 for Year 10 students
• 1st May 2025 for Year 11 students

Please note: You have 48 hours to make the first payment and confirm your class booking. If the payment is not made within this time, your booking may be cancelled.

As class sizes are small, our Qualified Tutors tailor the content to the students as much as possible. However, they all follow a basic outline of topics to cover throughout the year so that the classes acts as a comprehensive revision course, please email us at hello@capitaltuitiongroup.com if you would like more information.

You will be sent a report after each lesson including content covered and how your child preformed.

The lessons will take place online, in the comfort of your own home using our fully interactive online teaching software.
You will be sent a lesson link 24 hours before and on the day of each lesson which you will need to forward to your child. Your child will need to access the online classroom using a laptop or a PC and have a fully-functioning mic and webcam.

Of course! Our classes are scheduled so that a student could attend all three subjects without missing out on a single minute of tuition.

All of our GCSE Tuition Classes accommodate all major exam boards across the UK including; Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CCEA, WJEC and more.

Once you have made your first payment and your child's spot has been confirmed, to cancel your child’s Tuition Classes and avoid paying for the following month, you must cancel before the 23rd of the month by emailing hello@capitaltuitiongroup.com. This is the only way to formally cancel; verbal cancellations or other methods will not be accepted.

We will send you an email within a week of receiving your notice to confirm the cancellation.

If proper notice is not given, you may continue to be charged.

There is no single "hardest" GCSE, as difficulty is subjective and depends on the student. However, based on our students' requests, subjects like Mathematics and certain modern languages are frequently cited as difficult due to problem-solving demands and complex concepts. Subjects with a high emphasis on subjective interpretation or extensive memorisation, such as English Literature and History, are also considered challenging. Within the Sciences, Physics is usually mentioned as the "trickiest".

Yes and no. If your child is looking into tuition nearer the start of the school year, tuition once a week will make a noticeable difference to their confidence with a subject. However, if you haven't started yet and exam season is approaching, it would sensible to invest in more frequent tuition to make their revision and exam preparation as productive as possible. The good news is the boundary for a grade 9 typically ranges from 70-85% depending on the subject. This means that getting a grade 9 is actually more achievable than it seems, however getting a grade 9 is definitely still a mark of genuine academic excellence.
