After completing his A-levels in Geography, History and Physical Education in 2009, Luke began his B.Sc in Sports Education at the University of Gloucestershire.
He completed his degree with a Second Class Honours (1st Division) whilst also taking up teaching placements in variety of schools for more experience along with assisting at a number of disability events for the University of Gloucestershire.
Luke also worked at the AQA examination centre and decided to go travelling where he experienced the cultures and sights of many places across the globe.
Upon his return, Luke decided to gain more experience within a school by joining Guildford County School where he spent a year as a Teaching Assistant in the SEN department as well as assisting the PE department. He was integral in a huge number of lessons, supporting students. He also helped to run a number of sports clubs and fixtures.
From this positive experience Luke went onto complete his PGCE in Secondary School PE at the University of Chichester in 2014, Luke completed two placements at Bohunt School, Liphook and Amery Hill, Alton where he received an outstanding report from both schools. Luke then obtained a full-time role in the outstanding PE department at Bishop Thomas Grant School in 2015 and is still there to this date. He is currently the teacher in charge of Basketball and Football. He has been exposed to excellent CPD with regards to the new GCSE course (which he is currently teaching) and currently teaches PE from Year 7 to Year 13. In recent years, Luke has gained further responsibility within the school by becoming a Head of House. Luke also run’s all the inter house sports events and is the teacher in charge of the Gifted and Talented programme within the PE department.
