Franklin is an AQA examiner with over 3 years’ experience in teaching science and maths at KS3 (including 13+) and KS4 and Physics at KS5. He is passionate about teaching science and maths and regularly keeps up to date with current pedagogic issues by completing CPDs and sharing best practices. He is now a science teacher in Rutlish School, one of the top 100 schools in the UK based on progress.
He has impressive subject knowledge: 5 A-Level subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths), B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, PGCE in Science with Physics and an MBA. He was judged ‘Good with Outstanding Features’ in the following Ofsted categories in 2014: ‘Subject Knowledge’, ‘Assessment for Learning’ and ‘Students’ Progress and Success’.
Franklin has always been a teacher: he was a support teacher while doing his undergraduate degree and he has 3 years’ experience in HR development in the City. Outside school, he works as a private tutor and as a UNICEF ambassador. He also enjoys going on adventures, practices Judo and reads STEM journals.
