Adin read a degree in History at the University of Reading. He is a qualified Teacher of History with three years’ experience working in a start-up school; Kensington Aldridge Academy. It achieved an Outstanding judgement from Ofsted in January 2018 in extremely challenging circumstances following the Grenfell Tower disaster.
He completed his history PGCE on the prestigious Teach First programme at the Institute of Education in 2016. The Teach First programme selects teachers based on their proficiency and talent in the classroom.
Adin has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at a Special Needs School, where he worked extensively with students with autism, Asperger’s and ADHD. Through his various teaching experiences, Adin has developed an enormous ‘toolkit’ of ideas and resources that he is able to adapt for different learning styles. He is able to accommodate the different learning needs of his students to ensure that they reach their potential. Adin also has a gift for helping students revise for their upcoming exams.
Outside of his teaching experience, Adin has also set up his own youth group and is also a director of his own Charity; Pinpoint which is based in East London and runs a number of intergenerational community projects. It also offers tailored mentoring programmes for 17-21-year olds.
In addition, Adin has also worked with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation as a mental wellbeing coach on a project which worked with under 21s who suffered of lived with parents with mental health problems. Finally, during the summer holidays Adin also works for NCS as an enterprise practitioner where he often runs workshops teaching young people the skills around public, speaking, organisation and enterprise.
Adin has a strong commitment to History and his main belief is that ‘when people understand history, it allows each individual to realise the contribution to the future that they can make’. Adin strongly believes in a tailored approach to both tutoring but also uses his previous working experience to tailor sessions to life skills and personal confidence growth and self-empowerment.
